The
.NET framework is arguably the most common framework used in the development
of commercial applications today. It allows for a variety of languages from
Visual Basic to the very latest release of C#. Mitrais has a vast amount of
experience with this technology allowing us to maintain, improve and
innovate on a huge variety of platforms and application domains. Below is
selection of some of our projects we have undertaken.
For an international provider of mining software and consulting services
based in the UK, Mitrais has delivered a web based application to manage the
process of licensing mining software sales. This is aimed at ensuring the
licensing process runs more efficiently for consultants and customers
worldwide. The Kiosk Licence System maintains the customer database, the
licensed software products, the process of license key generation and
recording and software maintenance updates. It uses Microsoft .NET
technology.
Mitrais has completed a Factory Reporting System (FRS) for a cigarette
maker that streamlines and automates data gathering processes from the
production floor and provides rich reporting capabilities to supervisors and
management groups. Information such as tobacco usage, non-tobacco material
usage, filter-maker-packer-ripper production flows, wastage and other vital
information are captured by the system. The reporting module gives detailed
and accurate views of daily activities, such as machine efficiency and use,
factory use, material use, finished goods and executive summaries. Mitrais
is undertaking local customisation as the system is implemented across the
company’s Asian operations.
Re-design to provide an object oriented user interface, while retaining
the feel of the application to ease end-user migration, are hallmarks of a
project Mitrais completed for a US software house to convert an accounting
system from COBOL to the Microsoft .NET environment.
An
Australian retailer engaged Mitrais to modify a web-based Point of Sales
(POS) system. Its existing system was unable to ensure a progressive
expansion in the retailer’s suppliers. The Mitrais team has provided
the required capabilities and now the retailer is migrating from a legacy
system to an open source .NET solution.
In a unique development environment, Mitrais is undertaking a major
upgrade from a legacy Windows based application to .NET application using
the cutting edge Visual Studio .NET 2008. Working remotely between Bali and
the client’s premises, Mitrais set up Virtual Private Network connection for
VS.NET 2008 to be able to work with the Team Foundation Server (TFS) located
in the client offices. The collaborative software development using VS.NET
2008 and TFS provides quality work processes and products by using its
source control, work item, unit testing, code coverage, code analysis and
nightly build integration. When one integrated development environment is
required, VS.NET 2008 meets that need with developer efficiency, enhanced
features, usability and robustness.
Mitrais has more than
30 Microsoft Certified Engineers and access to the comprehensive resources
and support which come with being a Gold Certified Microsoft Partner.
